Unit 2 sec 1.5

Unit 2 sec 1.5 checking and interpreting your results

However it is a good idea to carry out a couple of further checks to ensure that the answer is reasonable and that it answers the question asked.

    Is your answer reasonable?
An important step in solving any problem is to check whether your answer makes sense in the context of the problem and in particular whether is realistic and roughly what you expected.
It would be wise to go back and check both the mathematics and assumptions made.
So if you need a more accurate estimate of the time, then you may wish to change some of the assumptions for the speed.
Making a realistic assumptions about speeds in which you can travel on different roads is important in order to predict reasonable journey time.

   Answering a question asked

However, in practice it would probably be better to allow some extra time in case there are any unexpected delays or the assumptions for the average speed were too high. There may also be other considerations, such as allowing for parking.
